Maru & Michael

IMG_0844.JPG It was rather exciting to see Maru and Michael. Michael and I are still pretty much the same after so many years. Maru has a real opportunity now to “fix” the little faults, although I don’t think there is much to tweak…. Michael has always been a solid person with an incredible work ethic. Perhaps now, they can ease up and take more time to “enjoy the roses”. As for me, Kristine has given up on me by now, I am afraid 🙂

It was sad to see them leave, since I can only manage so many visitors within any given month, and northwestern Mexico is so far away. Studying the cosmos is something that both Michael and I initially trained for, but he has taken it to an exciting career as a professional astronomer. Maybe someday when the lyme disease and other health issues have abated, I will literally get back on my feet and be able to visit them in Mexico, as well as friends in Ottawa, Edmonton, North Bay, Barrie, etc…. For now, being bedridden is a learning experience in patience, perseverance and persistence.

My advice is to

  • enjoy every minute of life
  • don’t work all of the time
  • keep well!
  • don’t let the ticks bite…
